Prevent Embarrassing 'Accidents': Pledge to Neuter Your Animal Companions!

Some doggie behaviors don't go over well in polite society. Like when your lovesick hound suddenly decides that your date's leg would make a great—ahem—partner. Or when Fido designates your favorite armchair as his personal fire hydrant. Or when it's "that time of month" and Fifi leaves spots all over your white carpet and couch. Luckily, there is an easy way to prevent these and other embarrassing doggie "accidents": spaying and neutering!

Raging hormones make people do crazy things, and animals are no different. Having your dog sterilized now can save you a ton of embarrassment later by eliminating the urge to mate, the tendency to be excessively territorial, and the physical functions that cause animals to mount objects, mark their territories indoors, and go through heat cycles. Plus, sterilization protects your dog from several life-threatening types of cancer and spares your animal companion the anxiety and frustration of wanting to mate but not being allowed to do so.

But most importantly, spaying and neutering your dog prevents the worst kind of "accident": puppies! Sure, puppies are cute, but millions of perfectly healthy and lovable dogs are euthanized in animal shelters every year for lack of good homes. Every new puppy takes a home from a shelter dog or ends up homeless instead. That's not so cute!

So what are you waiting for? Avoid embarrassing doggie behavior and prevent accidental litters. Sign our pledge and make an appointment today to have your animal companions spayed or neutered!

The Pledge

I want to help prevent embarrassing doggie behaviors, such as mounting legs, marking couches, and spotting the carpet. Most importantly, my dog will never worsen the companion animal overpopulation crisis by bringing more puppies into the world. I pledge to always have my companion animals spayed or neutered and to urge everyone I know to sterilize their animals too.
